Working Environment

Lexington Independents is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our culinary team. Lexington Independents is committed to safeguarding children and colleagues. Candidates that are shortlisted for this role, will be required to have an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and two suitable references.

Job Description

As a Kitchen Porter, you will be responsible for ensuring the kitchen area is always clean, well presented, and well-stocked.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the correct cleaning materials are used
  • Ensure safety glasses, masks, gauntlets and any other necessary clothing is warn if required
  • Ensure that all policies and procedural requirements of both legislation and company are adhered to in order to promote a professional and forward approach at all times
  • Ensure COSHH, Food Safety, and Health & Safety are followed
  • Ensure rubbish is removed as and when required

 

Working Pattern: monday-friday 10.30-14.30 term time only

Skills and Experience

In this role:

  • Pride in quality customer service

  • Previous catering experience is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills and a team player
